Karl Cooper

Born in the North-West Capital of entertainment ‘Blackpool’ Karl began singing at the age of 15 taking his early influence from Elvis Presley and Robbie Williams. Inspired by watching a wide variety of entertainers he quickly new that the spotlight was for him.

At the age of 17 he joined with his elder brother Mark a talented guitarist and keyboard player to form the highly successful duo ‘Coopers Way’. They entered and won many talent contests and in their first year were awarded Newcomers Entertainment Shield for services to charity and quickly obtained a residency in one of Blackpool’s premier hotels.

During the 10 years Karl was with the duo they appeared in many of the largest clubs and entertainment complexes in the UK enabling Karl to perfect and master his art as a front man developing a wide ranging repertoire from the 50’s to the present day taking his inspiration from singers such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Billy Fury, Tom Jones, Ricky Martin and probably his biggest influence Robbie Williams.

Karl left Blackpool and the Duo in 2007 to join his partner in Chesterfield and left singing to manage and promote a local Club, often unable to resist appearing on stage himself.

However, as he says the lure of the spotlight was too strong and he began developing his solo career and enlarging his sphere of musical influence and although still singing music of all types and from all eras

Karl has successfully developed into an all round popular solo entertainer and is now busy entertaining audiences all over the country with his smooth easy-going likable personality and style and his wide ranging musical repertoire; singing in his own inimitable style a wide range of Rock and Roll, Ballard, Sing-Along and Pop right through to Easy-Listening and Swing.
